A Hopeless Guy (Poetry about the Intrusive Voice in your Head)

A Hopeless Guy

March 18th, 2004

"Hopeless. It's hopeless, I tell ya, hopeless!" ((Spoken))

Chorus:
He'll always be out of town
he'll never really be around
He'll always think that he's the best,
when in all truth - he's just like the rest!

"It's Hopeless!" ((Shouted))

He drinks like a fish
and smokes like a fire.
All I wish
is that he wasn't such a damn LIAR!

Chorus x1

He steals
and he hits.
He doesn't feel
and he ain't nothing' but a load of shit!

"It's Hopeless!" ((Shouted))
**You know that voice in your head that is so negative and intrusive? That's what this is really about. There was never a person, just an angry Jiminy Cricket...**

Search your memory and you'll see... Yeah... this song is a...

My Heart (March 31st, 2004)

"  My Heart" by Alanda McRae. Life is a party, that's what they tell me. Life is a dance way, they said yesterday. I hear the owls speaking; I hear their forever question... I hear the blue jays singing, and I know life will go on. Will I ever see you again? Will I be in your arms? No matter where they take you, or where you've been, you'll forever be in my heart... I hope to see you once more, I wish I could say goodbye. As you walked out the door, I couldn't help but cry...
